Justification By Faith Alone
Justification is a singular, complete, forensic act of God in which the ungodly sinner is declared righteous on the sole basis of Christ's perfect obedience and atoning death, received through faith alone, apart from any works. It is not a process, not a cooperative achievement, and not susceptible to reversal or supplement by human effort. Every major Protestant confession affirms this against Rome and Constantinople precisely because every major biblical text on justification teaches it.
